Hotel Vera is located in what was formerly the apartment house of the merchant Stepnov at Suvorovsky Prospect 25. Stepnov House was designed by the architect Gorlensky in 1903 in the Russian Modern style. The owners of the hotel have carefully preserved the original interiors. You will be able see restored forged staircases, ceramic fireplaces, and admire old stained glass windows. If you book a room in our hotel or visit Cafe Vera, you will be enchanted by the atmosphere from the early 20th century that has been lovingly recreated.

Hotel Vera has opened it’s halls for art exhibitions, lectures and master classes. This 1903 building is a well known former Stepnov’s apartment home and is a good example of Northern Modern architectural style.
Hotel Vera has also recently become an additional home for a group of St. Petersburg artists known as “Apartment 16”.
The occupants of Apartment 16 are an association of talented and original artists, working under the careful eye of Anatoly Zaslawski in his art studio on Bolshoj Prospect in St. Petersburg.
The artwork by contemporarily artists from “Apartment 16” combines remarkably well with Hotel Vera’s antique stained glass windows, forged staircases, and tasteful interiors.
The first exhibition of artists from “Apartment 16” called “My Best Painting, 2018” took place at Hotel Vera on March 15-April 15, 2019. It represented the beginning of our joint partnership.
Hotel Vera plans for new exhibitions, lectures and discussions, master classes and meetings with artists and other interesting people from the art world.
Please come to Hotel Vera, enjoy beautiful art, drink the best cappuccino and tea, and eat something special prepared by our chef. You may want to join us and became a regular participant of our interesting artistic programs.
