Excellent service by front desk + managers! I arrived at 10:00 but my room was’t ready until 14:00. They checked me into another room. I am so thankful for this!

We spent 2,5 hectic days at Hotel Vera, combining many hours of business discussions with our Russian partners at the hotel’s conference room, with sightseeing. The hotel has everything we needed: a responsive and professional stuff, clean rooms with charming old artwork, free wi-fi, a satisfying breakfast, easy transportation to the city’s main attractions, and a carefully chosen contemporary menu at the cafe “Vera” – we were able to squeeze in much more than we’d expected.

Like in a Boutique Hotel: Cool Environment. Original, unique design of the corridors you pass through to your room – fascinating, a lot of very interesting pieces of art. You feel excellent. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant at the entrance is relatively small (6-7 tables) but the cuisine is great! The hotel was recommended by a friend of mine and was realy a great choice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice and the location is good. The breakfast was also excellent and it was very nice of the hotel to provide breakfast early when we had to leave early. Hotel Vera was a big part of the reason I enjoyed my trip to St. Petersburg so much.

I want to take the time and thank you for your incredible service. I have traveled to Russia before and around Europe and have been to numerous hotels, but this is by far the best one! I wish you would open a hotel in Moscow too!… I will definitely be staying at Hotel Vera again, and I will be recommending you to all my friends. Your hotel is incredible and your service is outstanding.

Hotel Vera have a great team on reception – they were incredibly helpful when I needed medical assistance and stayed to translate when the doctor arrived. They went out of their way to provide advice on how to get to places, provided a map and made a point of writing bus details and tourist information on it for me. Transport was very easy, and the hotel is close to the International Hostel where Peters Walking Tours leave from which was convenient.

… just a charming and affordable art hotel in the middle of the city. The Cafe on the 1st floor offers very tasty Russian and international dishes at reasonable prices. We would gladly stay there again.

This is a great hotel. If WiFi doesn’t work, tell the staff and they will fix it – they did for me and I never had any more problems. The buses can be slow up Suvorovskiy, it’s true but it *is* a short walk to the metro (10 mins max). If you’re nearer a metro station, it’s going to be even noiser, after all – and this is relatively quiet. The restaurant is a really nice addition – small and friendly, with excellent service. Everything is spotlessly clean on arrival, and your room is cleaned every day. Russian main roads are inevitably noisy, and this can be a problem even through their triple glazing, so if you think this will disturb you, ask to have a quiet room.

I thought this was an excellent hotel – especially for the price. I was particularly taken by the little things that were so nice – map, extra pillow, heated towel rack ….

… the front desk staff is very extremely helpful and kind. They even got a lovely crib to the room when we asked for it …

… I am in the third day of my stay at the Hotel Vera and have only great impressions. The staff and the Hotel are truly outstanding. There is a free breakfast from 8 am that includes cereal, sandwich meats, bread, juice, yougart and fruit. They do have 24-hour security (it is in a great neighborhood though) and a 24-hour reception desk. I have met 5 of the staff at the reception so far and they all are fluent in English, super helpful and pleasant …

I didn’t know what to expect as it was my first trip to Russia. Some previous reviewers mentioned it was far out of the way. All I can say is that this hotel was perfect. The rooms were clean and spacious, amazing showers, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. The metro is about a 10 minute walk, which is nothing for Europe. The bus picks up right across the street and comes every 10 minutes. If I come back to St. Petersburg I will be staying here again. Don’t waste your money staying right near the sights. Most of the nightclubs and bars we went to were within walking distance from this hotel.

As budget hotels go, this is a five-star. The Hotel Vera is heads above its price-peers, most notably due to its consistently helpful, bi-lingual staff. Don’t be deterred by it’s distance from the nearest metro station. Many bus lines pass in front of the hotel, and unlike the underground metro, allow you to hop off at any number of likely tourist and business destinations. The hotel staff will happily help you decode the system.

We stayed at the luxurious suite at the top floor of Hotel Vera. Great amenities, great surrounding, very friendly staff, great location. The interior is very impressive and sets a great mood. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance from the center. Would love to come back and stay at the Hotel Vera again.

The room is simple, but very orderly and exceptionally clean. I am a stickler for a clean bathroom and this one was wonderful. The hotel is small, but very clean overall and quite charming. It’s a three star with five star cleanliness and a four star attitude.

I have stayed in many hotels on business, but the Hotel Vera is very special. It is the best in St. Petersburg and maybe the best I have stayed in because you are so helpful and you all look so happy. Thank you all very much!
